The Board has approved a new Practical Experience Assessment process, which will commence with registration applications closing 1 October 2003. 

Thereafter all applications will close on 1 April and 1 October each year.   Note that these are new closing dates. 

Applications closing 15 April 2003 will be the last Practical Experience Examinations conducted under the old format.

The key changes are: 

(a) Appendix 4 has been replaced and now lists a set of Core Competencies which detail the Outcome expected, the Performance Indicators that need to be met, and Guidance Notes to the Assessors for each competency. 

(b) Project Record Sheets replace Career Record Sheets

(c) Up to three Case Studies are required to be submitted.  See requirements in Appendix 5

(d) The two hour oral examination is replaced by a three hour discussion

The new documentation is now on the website and can be downloaded.  It is important that graduates start using the new Project Record Sheets as soon as possible.
